Work began at 7:30. There were 7 workmen present. Takis was foreman. Charlene Bleistein and Ruth Gais supervised.

The fragment was tagged and placed in its own box - unnumbered - to preserve the plaster as much as possible. Mr. Clement photographed it.

A heavy metal object, possible lead was found in the plaster debris at G-L: 15-26. It has a groove on 2 sides, and 2 small holes on its curved side. It is 8 cm long, 4.3 cm wide. It was placed in a separate envelope.

Another hawksbeak fragment from the debris is being tagged.

At three areas of the trench the end of the stone and plaster debris was reached. At area X-B: 18-21, the debris ended at 49.70m.
At area W-A: 20-23 between the two rubble walls (A & B), at 49.74.
At area U-A: 23-26 between Wall B and the S. end of the trench, at 49.55m.
At G-L: 15-26:
The earth beneath the debris in these areas is hard reddish brown with small stones.

In the stone & plaster debris at G-L: 15-26 a green metal object was found. I is folded and very thin, 0.025m long. It was placed in a separate envelope. Trench 70-8. Plan.
