Projects & Exams

In order to do well in this course, you should do the readings and the assignments on the Internet in a regular manner.  Your grade will depend on how well you do in the following projects and examinations.  As you prepare for these, you should keep two important things in mind:

1. Make sure you get your assignments in on time; failing to turn in an assignment on time will seriously affect your grade;

2. Follow the directions for each assignment, but as you do so, remember that you will always be expected to mention information you have taken from the reading and the Internet material.  All the material from the course should combine to help you understand something about classical archaeology.  A good submission will always point out how the specific assignment fits into what else we have been doing in the course.

Aside from these assignments, you are also expected to participate, at least occasionally, in the class discussion.  The intelligence and applicability of your discussion will be graded and will be worth approximately 10% of your grade in the course.
