Contrary to what was originally listed in the syllabus, this assignment is due in class on November 16. Late assignments will be accepted but will be subject to a substantial reduction in grade. 

You should locate a website that deals effectively with a city or cities from the ancient Greek or Roman worlds.  (Do not select cities from the ancient Near East or other periods!)  Try to find a site that you think does a good job in terms of quality of information and clarity, ease, and attractiveness of presentation.  You may thus want to look at more than one site before you select one to write about.  

You can either use standard search engines (Yahoo, AltaVista, etc.) or you can start with one of the more specialized sites such as:

Classics and Mediterranean Archaeology

Once you have selected what you think is a good site, write a brief paper that explains why you think the site was good, in terms of content and presentation.  Be critical and point out any bad points as well as good points.

Your paper should be no more than 2 pages typed (500 words). It should clearly state the name and address of the site you are evaluating and present your argument clearly.
